Update.

So I completed my 10 days of the Master Cleanse.
It was really hard but I feel ebtter now. I feel like I am rejuvinated and that my insides are renewed.
I am excited the end of the semester is here because i am in the proccess of moving from one apartment to a house and then to another apartment. I have been super exhausted, stressed, and busy. My brother is coming back from a military base and my mothers sister, dad, and mom died all this year. It has been really hectic, so unfortunatly i ahven't been able to focus on exercising or even school. But I have been trying to pull things together for finals. Hopefully everything ends well.

The Master Cleanse

One of my classmates from my public speaking class has informed the audience about something called a "master cleanse."
Supposedly once you complete this master cleanse of your body, you feel better, youre more energetics, your organs and veins are given a break and rejuvinated. She even said that on about the second day of doing the master cleanse your body actually starts to expel the toxins with in. The body does that normally, but with this cleanse it greatly speeeds up the procces and a mucus like substance comes off on your tounge , through you pores, and other ways.
This is the process:
  1. First, squeeze squeeze freshy lemon juice.
  2. Then add maple syrup (preferable organic), and Cayenne Pepper into water.
  3. Drink a minimum of six to 12 glasses throughout the day whenever your are hungry.
  4. Take a laxative before bed.
  5. instead of the morning laxative, you can do the Salt Water Flush.
"Every day of The Master Cleanse that you overcome the psychological need to eat, you feel a growing sense of control that motivates you to complete the process."

You do that for about 10 days and then you slowly ease in to eating regualr food again. It is diffiult and hard to overcome but the end result is supposed to be super rewarding.
I am going to start that cleanse next week so i may be a little grumpy for a while.

Morning Jogs

I love the weather we have been having lately. Yes it still rains every once in a while but besides that it amazing. Thanks to the weather my roommate, a friend, and I are waking every day at 6 am to jog. When I do this I feel more energetic through out the day and have lessened my need for coffee.
We started this on Sunday and have been going good so far. I even bought new Nike Free Runs that are flexible and amazing for almost any type of exercising.
These are my steps in the morning:

  • Wake up at 6 am
  • Drink a protein shake
  • Stretch
  • Go jogging for at least 30 minutes
  • Come home
  • Shower
  • And get ready for the day
I don't have time for any other form of exercise right now with the end of the semester approaching but this has working out great for me and isn't too bad once you get used to it.

Depressing Weather Tromps New Idea

Since the weather is getting warmer outside I thought it would be a good idea to start jogging in the morning before work and school. I did that pretty good for a couple days but every once in while it still rains and is cold outside. North Carolina’s bipolar and rainy weather has slowed down my progress with that so I had to get creative since I canceled my planet fitness subscription.

One way shook things up and sped things up is a product called Fatgirlsickpack by Bliss. What it does is tightens the skin on your stomach. It doesn’t necessarily give you a six pack but it does make your stomach look firmer. I have only used it once so far and I am in love. It works very well, I even used it on my thighs and it worked. I hate sit ups and crunches, so this helps to keep my stomach firm.

I am currently researching other products similar to that including tanning lotions, body cleanses, collagen shakes, and scar removers. I am trying to prepare myself for the hot weather. I did slack off a few weeks after I started this blog but now I am trying to get back on track. I hope that by the end of the semester I have reached my desired body weight of 120 lbs. and firm skin. I think I am very close to reaching my goal despite my setbacks.

Breaking the trend

So, unfortunately, I don’t have good news to report this week again. Over spring break and this week I didn’t exercise significantly and I went on a fast food binge. My spring break was anything but relaxing because I had so much to do in preparation for my mom coming back to the United States. I was running around getting documents, finding an apartment for her, and numerous other things. Even though I didn’t have school that week, I still had to work, a lot! I haven’t cooked a single meal since two weeks ago. My meals have consisted of Cook Out, Bojangles, Burger King, Taco Bell, and Buffalo Wild Wings. Because of my lack of substantial food I have noticed that I am tired more often and I feel bloated half the time.

I did complete most of the check list I set up last time, so it does work. This week I decided I will do something similar.

This week I am going to pop open some of the magazines I have lying around and go to the section with the easy at home exercises. Every morning when I wake up and every night before I sleep, I am going to do at least 30 minutes of those exercises.

And of course, I am going to invite some friends over and have an intense Dance Central competition on the Kinect. For anyone who wants to exercise but doesn’t feel motivated to do it, I do recommend the Kinect. There is a new one coming out during the holidays that actually integrates your room into the game. It is fun and can be a real work out if you take it seriously.

Tonight after class I am actually going to the supermarket and I am going to buy some groceries, since my kitchen is void of real food, and try and get on the right track once again.

Wish me luck !!

A Bump in the Road

So, unfortunately, I have cancelled my subscription to Planet Fitness because I haven't gone in a while and realized I won't be going that often anyway so why pay the money.

But I continue to do fitness video and playing my Kinect at home in order to stay fit. Even though, as the semester continues, I seem to have less and less free time during the week.

And also because of my lack of time, I have been eating out a lot. I think just this week I have spent $50 on food. I’m disappointed at that because with $50, I could have bought groceries to cook something.

I’m sad to report to a blog about progress toward my goal, with giant steps back.

I am really going to put an effort next week to continue the hard work I was doing before.

So I set up a checklist of what to complete before the week is over.
  • Jog for at least 45 minutes 3 times.
  • Pack a protein filled lunch 4 times.
  • Make dinner 3 times.
  • Play UFC trainer on the Kinect 3 times.
  • Don’t eat after 10pm 4 times.
  • Drink energy protein shake 3 times.
To make sure I complete this checklist, I also set up a punishment for not completing it. If I don’t complete this checklist by the weekend, I cannot go out dancing the following week. I already told my roommate about and she is joining me in completing a checklist and enforcing the punishment for each other. Her checklist has a lot of things similar to mine so we can help each other out with it to make it easier.

Crazy Week

So unfortunately this week I was unable to go to the gym or even cook because it has been a pretty bad week. I've been running around doing my taxes, filling out my FAFSA, settling a traffic ticket, and so much more. This week has been hectic so all my free has gone to resolving a lot of problems.
I hate that i broke my routine because it is hard to get into habit of something but its easy to break a habit.
So today at night, since planet fitness is 24 hours and i dont have to work tomorrow morning, I am going to the gym for at least 30 minutes. I feel horrible that I have eaten out every day this week and spent a ridiculous amount of money on food. I really hope that next week I get back on track because I was proud of how long I was keeping it up. I have been really bad at sticking to things such as exercising, ever since i moved out.
The gym has become a peaceful place among all the chaos of life for me, so I can't wait to start going regurlarly. Keep your fingers crossed.
